If you do a search for "TV installation Torbay" the first thing you are going to find is companies such as www.aerialforce.co.uk, or www.aerialsandsatelliteexpress.co.uk. There are probably a couple more that will appear right at the top of Google and at a quick glance will appear to be local companies to Torbay. Don't be fooled by the fact that they have Torbay in their URL, THEY ARE DEFINITELY NOT local companies, they are in fact nationwide companies that cover the whole of the UK and the only reason why they are the top of Google is that they are paying to be in this position. Please take my advice and avoid these companies because they are only in it for the money and they will charge you well over the odds for jobs that shouldn't cost very much at all.

Make sure you scroll down the page past all the paid ads until you reach what we call the "organic" results. If you take your time then you will find companies that are local to Torbay and therefore there is much less chance you are going to get ripped off.

I chose Jim from Jim's aerials. I read his homepage and there was a small section about himself. Jim got back to me within a couple of days after contacting him via email. You can start any work for about two weeks which is actually a good sign that these people have got plenty of work. I'm always somewhat dubious about workman that can start straight away. A good worker who is good at his job should be booked up for at least a week. So if you are looking for some work to be done I would advise you to start looking two or three weeks before you really want it doing.

Jim carried out a first-class job which involved installing a brand-new satellite dish. You make sure that it was receiving the strongest signal. He also realigned my TV aerial so it was pointing towards the best transmitter. There are various transmitters in the area and it's always best if your aerial is pointing to the one that gives you the strongest signal. In this day and age with digital signals your pictures should be absolutely crystal clear, if it isn't, then the chances are your aerial is not set properly.

Jim also put in some more coaxial cable and some more sockets because I was moving televisions around in my room. He also helped install minute 58 inch flatscreen television on a motorised brackets. He took a lot of care and attention to make sure that all the wires were directed properly and everything looked neat and tidy.

I was very happy with Jim's work and he would definitely be somebody I would recommend whether it be just installing a simple TV aerial, or installing a full satellite system, Jim is very experienced and he really knows his stuff.

If you visit Jim's website then you can contact him via his site
