I live on the south-west coast of England in a small town called Brixham.  I been confined to a wheelchair 1986 after breaking my neck in a swimming pool accident.  Computers are my saviour and I spend most days doing one thing or another on my PC.  Other interests I have include angling and amateur radio.  I also run a website and forum dedicated to looking after and caring for the Oscar fish cichlid

I purchased a pair of a couple of years ago and thought I would do a brief review on what I think of them.

I've had a quick look at the Currys website which is where I got mine from and they seem to have reduced dramatically in price. The dearest ones I can find are around £299, I think I paid around £329 for mine.

When you open the box containing the you're going to get a bit of a shock and you'll probably think "oh, that's quite small". However, don't let the size deceive you. Remember Naseem Hamed, also known as Prince Naseem Hamed? He was a boxer with quite a small stature, probably 5'3" tall. In most cases, a little bloke like that wouldn't be much of a cause for concern. However, you wouldn't want to be punched by this guy, put it that way. The same can be said for the Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speaker. This little baby packs a real punch and I think you will be blown away by how good it performs for its size.

I recently bought myself a new set of speakers for my main PC. I looked around at different type of speakers including Logitech which I have been using for a few years. Since buying the Bluetooth Bose mini speaker I decided to look at Bose may specifically for PCs. Their computer speakers range from £89.99 up to £299.95. Since I already have a mini sound system for playing music I really didn't want to spend £300 on a pair of speakers which would only be used with my PC so I decided to go with the priced at £89.95. If you shop around you can buy them for as little as £74

I decided to buy mine from Currys so I paid slightly more. I paid an extra £3.95 to get the speakers delivered next day so the final bill came to approximately £103.90. I deliberately went with Currys because there is a Currys store in Torquay and if anything goes wrong with the speakers it's quite simple for me to take them back so paying an extra few quid wasn't really an issue, more of a convenience.

If you are a friend of mine on Facebook then due to a divine please note I have had to create a new account. Basically, Facebook suddenly blocks my account accusing me of harbouring malware on my PC. In order to unblock my account, they insisted I download some software. Well, nobody blackmails me and I'm certainly not downloading any software until I know exactly what it is. So, unfortunately, Facebook has got me by the short and curly's and I have no alternative but to create another account.

Have you been greeted with the above message when climbing into Facebook recently?

Well, if you were then you are certainly not alone, it seems that lots of people have experienced exactly the same issue. I certainly don't have any malware or viruses because I run security. Anyway, even if I did, how Facebook would know is anyone's guess.

have owned a Permobil Corpus 500 electric wheelchairs since 2011. My previous chair was the Permobil Chairman. It goes without saying that I absolutely love Permobil wheelchairs, they do everything I need from an electric wheelchair and more. However, it seems I may have found a serious flaw that could very easily result in a catastrophic disaster.

The World Lottery Club website enables UK residents to take part in various lotteries around the club. Some of these lotteries include Australian and American Powerball, Irish lotteries, lotteries from Spain, Poland. and also Europe's own Euromillions. I just happened to stumble across their website when going to sign into the national lottery to play my own ticket. They were offering two lines for £2 instead of two lines for £5. Now I'm not stupid and I pretty much worked out straightaway that this was not going an ongoing off, more an enticement to get you onto their website and get hold of your payment details. Anyway, I joined up and opted to play 2 lines on Euromillions, basically because the jackpot was reaching an excess of £100 million that week. Normally, I play one line on Euro millions every week. I think it's something like 1 in 140 million chance of winning the Euromillions so there's no way I'm going to chuck loads of money into it each week.

For quite a few years now I have had a problem with moisture affecting the skin folds around the inside leg approaching the bottom of the buttocks. When the weather warms up the skin will often become irritated and sometimes it cracks and may bleed slightly. However, it's never given me too much of a problem and I've never had to stay in bed... until now.

'I've been using Roho cushions for many years now and thankfully have not had any serious issues. However, I recently had my first skin problem that was directly caused by the Roho. Unfortunately, my Roho developed a leak without me realising. When I checked my skin in the morning we found a pressure sore on the right cheek. Luckily for me it wasn't serious and was gone within a couple of weeks.

I've been using Plantronics for many years now. They are top-quality headset microphones that you won't be disappointed with.

If you shop around then you can buy a pair of Plantronics DSP 400 microphones for as little as £30. But realistically expect to pay around £40. However, what I want to bring to your attention is how the microphone headset connects to your computer. Some of the cheaper versions use a jack plug to connect to the audio and speaker part of your computer. They will require a soundcard in order to work properly. However, if you opt for the USB version then no soundcard is required, you simply plug them in and you are ready to go. If you do purchase a pair of Plantronics DSP 400 which only have the jack plugs then you should also get included with the package a USB adapter which enables you to plug the microphones into a USB socket. Unless you've got a good soundcard then I would always advise you to use a USB connector, or purchase the USB only version of the DSP 400 microphone headset. I found that the jack plug version don't work that well with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and I've had problems getting the microphone to dictate accurately. On the other hand, the USB version is absolutely fantastic and dictation is almost flawless when using this type of connection.

I bought this little box a while back that when opened has a fake spider that pops out of the lid. If you know anybody who is scared of spiders then this is something you must get in order to scare the hell out of them.

Here are a couple of videos I made of me pranking a couple of friends. It doesn't work so well on people who are not scared of spiders, although it probably will make them jump. Just go find someone who has an absolute huge phobia of spiders.

It's my birthday today, 48 years young, oh my God, where has all the time gone?

Anyway, there's not much we can do about getting old, all we can do is make sure we enjoy as much as we can of life. And there is nothing really that I enjoy more than going for a day fishing with a really good friend. Unfortunately, my good friend was unavailable so I went fishing with Charles :-) :-).

I visited Charlecombe pond at Rocombe on Tuesday for a short afternoon session. The gate is kept locked at all times now and members must purchase a key in order to gain entry to the car park.

It was fairly warm so I wasn't expecting much action from the carp. I was however quite surprised to see how much surface weed there was at the pond. In fact, in all the years I've been fishing Charlecombe I've never seen weed in there. There is nothing wrong with a little bit of weed, however, I hope that it's not left to get out of control.
