It's my birthday today, 48 years young, oh my God, where has all the time gone?

Anyway, there's not much we can do about getting old, all we can do is make sure we enjoy as much as we can of life. And there is nothing really that I enjoy more than going for a day fishing with a really good friend. Unfortunately, my good friend was unavailable so I went fishing with Charles :-) :-).

I visited Charlecombe pond at Rocombe on Tuesday for a short afternoon session. The gate is kept locked at all times now and members must purchase a key in order to gain entry to the car park.

It was fairly warm so I wasn't expecting much action from the carp. I was however quite surprised to see how much surface weed there was at the pond. In fact, in all the years I've been fishing Charlecombe I've never seen weed in there. There is nothing wrong with a little bit of weed, however, I hope that it's not left to get out of control.

I'm sorry if the title is misleading, I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to give you a conclusive answer as to how you can increase your mobile AdSense earnings, however, I can give you the benefit of my own experience using AdSense over the years and show you what I have recently done with my AdSense layout on my own website.

Please feel free to get involved either on the YouTube video, or by commenting underneath this blog post. As a lot of people who publish AdSense on their website will know, earnings from AdSense has dropped dramatically over the last couple of years. I've always believed that the decline in earnings are directly related to website usage using smart phones.

I have an using various different types of microphone headsets over the years and there are lots on the market that are really good. However, I been using Sennheiser microphones for several years now and I absolutely love them for their quality. I thought I would do a quick review on the Sennheiser microphone headset I have an using for the last year or so. The model is PC 8 and a retail around £34.95. They are excellent microphones which I would highly recommend. Watch my video review.

I purchased my four £5 gold coins from Bullion by Post about three years ago and if I sold them based on gold prices at the time of writing I would barely make any profit whatsoever.

Before you accept an offer for your gold, take my advice and try and get a good idea of what yours is worth. Companies are going to want to make money, therefore they might not always offer you what your gold is really worth. Take my advice, shop around probably until you get the right offer for your precious metal.

Ever since Roho were invented the only way to set one of these cushions up and make sure that it has the correct amount of air inside is to use the hand check. This method is really very much hit and miss. Not everybody has the same size hands. Some people have got little skinny fingers, whilst other people have got big porky pig sausage fingers. This means that you could have one person setting your cushion up as per their size of the hand. Then another person checks your cushion but they have big fat fingers.. If you do use the hand check then I think it's important that you have one person who keeps a check on it for you.

Permobil is now the owners of Roho which did surprise me somewhat. However, it seems that they have finally come up with a device that we have all been shouting for for years, a device that will automatically set the cushion for you, no need to use your hand anymore. The devices called the Smart Check and it takes the guesswork out of how much and put in the cushion when you are sitting. Don't ask me how it works, however, it monitors how much air is in the cushion and indicates when there is the right amount of air inside the cushion.

Using feathers to catch mackerel is often lots of fun during the summer when the mackerel are prolific. When there are lots of mackerel around its more than possible to catch well over a hundred mackerel in a session.

Some people call mackerel feathers "flies", but basically they are the same thing. Mackerel feathers can be bought in different colours with varying amounts of feathers on each trace. You can buy feathers that have three, six and even 12 hooks per trace. I would recommend sticking to no more than six works per trace.

This is a quick message to Dave, if that's your real name, who sent me a very rude email telling me that I had misspelt savaloy. You sir are a troll and a coward. You send me an abusive email using a false email address.

What makes me laugh is you must have spent a considerable time enjoying my article on carp fishing. I can only put your little outburst down to jealousy.

I have been using the Permolock wheelchair restraints mechanism in my Mercedes sprinter van ever since I got my new Permobil Corpus 500 in 2011. I think I've been using it long enough now for me to be able to give my opinion on what I really think of this wheelchair restraint system.

The Permolock is designed to accompany a couple of wheelchairs, one of which is the Permobil Corpus 500. The design is quite unique, basically, you have a metal pin that drops down from underneath the wheelchair when you press a button which is located at the front of the right-hand arm of the chair. You then drive over the restraint system and hope that you are in the right position for the pin to enter a V-shaped cutout in the clamp system where it pushes against a metal catch and opens it. Then this catch springs back on the other side of the pin which then locks the wheelchair down so it can't move. In order to release yourself from the system, you have to press a button which is located on the dashboard. You then get about five seconds to move out of the clamp before it locks you back in place again.

I'm going to trend a new Twitter hashtag that I hope people will use to report carp catches in the Torbay and surrounding area. So if you've caught some nice carp and would like to share some photos and information with other anglers them please use the following hashtag on Twitter. #CarpCatchReportTorbay

If you've not used Twitter before, or you've got an account and don't know how to use it then it's quite simple. Write your message which can't be any longer than something like 147 characters (that's approximate). By the way, that doesn't include the photo, you can write your message and include your photos. Now the important thing to remember is to put in the hashtag at the end of your message. The hashtag will be included in a number of characters.

Torbay is one of the most popular and well-known holiday resort in the whole of the United Kingdom. Thousands and thousands of people visit the area every year and many of them are returning visitors. However, there does not appear to be a single holiday rental accommodation home that is fully accessible and equipped for a wheelchair bound person.

Everything is becoming more expensive nowadays, therefore everybody likes to save money, even if it's only a couple of pounds. I have a simple tip that may save you up to 10% of what you are ordering online.

The next time you are going to order something online find the product you are looking for and copy the title of the product. It's easy to do, you simply drag your cursor full length of the title, then left click the mouse and choose copy from the drop-down list. Then paste the title back into your search engine and you should find all the online shops that sell the product you are looking for.

Is great to see a video of Brixham harbour during World War II. Not sure where the boys were being taught, probably above one of the shops opposite the old fish market. At the end of the video you see fishermen walking into a pub, I think this is probably the Sprat and mackerel

If you are a fisherman then I don't have to tell you how great the sport is. If you are a serious fisherman then you well know that when you're not fishing you're thinking about fishing, and when you are fishing your thinking about the next time you're going to go fishing. People who have the fishing bug think about it all the time. Now imagine being absolutely hooked on fishing but because of a disability you simply cannot get out and participate. Frustrating would be a complete understatement. I know this from personal experience. Thankfully I do have people who will go fishing with me, however, we have to arrange our trips, I can't simply decide to go fishing whenever I want, I've got to go when it's convenient for my helpers. That suits me, I know that people can't just drop everything when I want to go fishing. But there are people out there who don't have anyone to go with them, I really feel for these people, it must be horrible when you really want to do something but it's simply impossible because you don't have anyone to help.

I would like to bring together like-minded anglers in the South Devon area and offer help to disabled anglers who for some reason cannot go fishing on their own. I would like to make it quite clear that this would be on a voluntary basis. I think it's important that the disabled people who want to go fishing don't feel obliged that they have to pay the person who is helping them. Anyway, I would like to think that both parties would be able to fish, the helpers just there to help the disabled person tackle up, baits up land fish. After all, it's more fun to go fishing with a buddy than going all on your own.

I recently purchased a hot water "one cup" boiler which makes it very easy for me to make a cup of tea quickly. There are various models on the market, this one is slightly dearer as it has the facility to alter how much water it dispenses on each boil. This is great if you have various drinking mugs of different sizes.

I think we paid just less than £60 for this at Currys.

Now the new fishing season is nearly upon us I decided that a new elasticated strap was needed as the old one is starting to wear out. The straps I've had before have all been made out of an odd bit of elastic that I managed to get hold of. This time I decided to look for something that little bit more robust and will last a bit longer. One of the straps I had before I was made out of elasticated corset that someone didn't want any more. So I had a roof around on the Internet and found some elasticated back support that people use if they've got bad backs, or require some extra support when working. After looking around for a day or two I found one that seemed to fit the bill so ordered it. I was absolutely delighted when it arrived, it was almost made for the job. The only alterations I had to make were the removal of an extra strap that wasn't needed and the attachment of some extra Velcro. Apart from that the strap was perfect and should last for many years.

I got my strap from an online website called Better Life Healthcare and it cost around £14.

I had a nice chat with Martyn Green the other day on the phone about fishing the River Dart at Totnes the other day. I've never spoken to him before but after our telephone call had learnt so much about where to catch flounder and bass and the best ways to catch them when fishing in the River Dart. If you are looking for a fishing tutor then I don't think you could go wrong with hiring Martyn. You can hire him as a fishing tutor for as little as an hour, or a full day. According to his website he can take up to 4 people.

Go to his website for more information on hiring a fishing tutor in the south-west Devon area

A couple of years ago I experimented with Berkely Gulp artificial baits when fishing in the sea. I tried lugworm, ragworm and peeler crab. Even though I did get some interest in the worm baits, and never actually caught anything. With the benefit of hindsight and a few YouTube videos for help, I now realise that I should have scaled down the size of the bait for where I was actually fishing.

So I've just bought myself some 2-inch gulp sandworms which are basically ragworm. I've bought the blood red colour which looks unbelievably realistic in the packet. If I don't catch anything on these them I won't catch on anything.

I'm going to be going fishing in the next few weeks and will be experimenting so check back in a few weeks time to see how I get on.
