There has been a lot of controversy in the news lately about this so-called "bedroom tax".  If you don't receive housing benefit and live in your own house then it has absolutely nothing to do with you.  Your benefits will rise accordingly each year and you will definitely not lose any money.  However, if you do receive housing benefit and have an extra bedroom that you do not use then you may well be subject to paying this tax each month. Basically the government are now saying that if you have a spare bedroom that you don't use then the government will charge you for it. If you have more than one spare bedroom, then you'll pay even more.

Good to hear that Mick Philpott, his wife and neighbour have been given long prison sentences for the manslaughter of their six children.  What the hell was going through their minds when they decided to set alight to their house whilst the children were asleep upstairs?  Well, they are going to have a long, long time to ask themselves this question.  From what I have seen of Mick Philpott, he was a conniving, controlling arrogant piece of work that had complete control over his wife, I actually do pity her in a small way, it was quite obvious when you saw them together he pulled all her strings, told her what to do and say, it wouldn't surprise me if she was absolutely terrified of him.  Obviously this story made big news when it happened last year.  Maybe I have got a suspicious mind, but I remember watching the press conference that Mick Philpott and his wife did, straightaway when I saw his crocodile tears I said to the person with me that he was the one that started the fire, and I was absolutely right.  You can tell when somebody is crying and grieving genuinely.  The fact that he didn't shed any tears whatsoever was a dead giveaway, the experts that would have been watching and scrutinising his actions would have seen right through him straightaway.  In fact, the policeman who was there with them, said exactly this.  However, Mick Philpott was obviously far too arrogant for his own good and he has got his comeuppance.  You'd like to think that he will now have the next couple of decades to think just how much damage his actions have caused, but I strongly suspect he's more upset about being incarcerated than anything else.

You're not alone in worrying about whether or not your disability benefits are going to be affected.  Personally, I wish the government would just leave them alone, they work well for me, I don't see why they have to start messing around.

I've just watched the first episode of Revolution, a long-awaited series that is being screened on Sky One at nine o'clock on a Friday evening here in the UK.  The program focuses on a scenario where the world's electricity suddenly switches off without warning.  Our entire world is thrown back into the days where we didn't have electricity.  When the electricity automatically switched off, planes fell out of the sky, communication using modern technology ceased to work, our hospitals no longer run, we are basically screwed.  15 years after the blackout life still goes on, but much the same as it was before the Industrial Revolution.  We rely on candles and lanterns for light, small communities grow their own food, life seems quieter and less stressful.  However, not all is what it seems.  A dangerous man arrives at a small community living in a cul-de-sac and kills the father of a young woman.  Unbeknown to this young woman this strange man has something to do with the blackout.  She and two other companions set off by themselves in search of answers about the past and hope to reclaim the feature.  Pretty gritty stuff, definitely worth tuning in to if you haven't seen it yet.  You have only missed the first couple of episodes so it should be fairly easy for you to catch up.

300 gallon aquarium for saleReluctantly I am parting with my large 300 gallon aquarium.  I've had a couple of enquiries but no takers as of yet.  The 300 gallon aquarium measures eight foot in length, 2/12 feet in width and height.  There are two filters are available, an unused sump filter which is located in the cabinet, plus the more recent sump filter which is located next to the tank inside a cabinet to make it conspicuous. In fact there are two filters available, both Eheim filters that can circulate over 3000 litres an hour.  Only one filter is needed to be working on the tank so the second filter is more of a spare.

I have used various companies for my Joomla! templates before.  Rocket Theme is very popular amongst a lot of people.  However, I find that their templates are not really suitable for everyday blog type websites like the one I am using on this site.  The yearly membership fee on rocket theme is quite expensive, which is why I am no longer a member, I just wasn't getting value for money and their templates design didn't suit the type of websites I create. In fairness, there are different subscriptions which may seem to your individual needs.

If you are not familiar with "Haunted Highway" then the basic principle of the programme is that you have a couple of teams of paranormal investigators, one of which is the presenter Jack Osbourne, probably better known as the son of Ozzy Osbourne.  They travel across America's highways and backroads investigating alleged sightings of monsters, beasts and other paranormal creatures.  Where this program differs from other paranormal programs is they don't hunt ghosts or UFOs, so I suppose in a way it is unique from other programs.
